Transfer Case Swap
It's been a while since I posted last, and I have a question that I hope doesn't get me mocked incessantly.
I have a 1986 XJ 5speed and the transfer case is, well, lets just say I need a new one.
I have been doing alot of digging but I would really appreciate conformation on my numbers.
With my 86 5 speed, it is an np207 TC, 21 spline.
The donor will be a 1991 XJ 5speed, np231 21 spline.
This is what I understand to be correct from several sources.
What I would like to know is, is there any foreseeable issue with swapping my broken 207 for the un-broken 231?
Aside from the "spline length" which pre 91 XJ should match up with mine (short).

Incessantly means that it would never end.
It's a trick i learned in college, big words make you feel intelligent when you fear people perceive you as less so.
