Transfer case shifter from rattle to grinding...
Hi everyone,
So I recently bought my xj 3 weeks ago and from the start I heard a rattling noise. I finally found out what it was and decided to fix it. The parts I changed are the bronze bushing, bushing gasket and the boot. After returning from work I decided to give it a test run to see if everything is running fine, but now I makes weird noises idling and when I change to Neutral,4wd and 2wd it grinds!!! AHHHH! Is it possible it is making this noise because I'm an idiot and decided to play with the shifter while fixing the part? Is there an adjustment I have to make? Please help!
