Default Transfer Case Noise

I have been having more vibrations lately that I think I have figured out but need a little help. I put a 3 inch lift on 2000 xj 4.0 and a hack and tap sye, since I was getting vibes. Well after I aligned my pinion within 1.5 degrees lower and got the same vibration. just slightly. Well it is getting worse. I tried dropping front shaft and no help. The vibrations start at 50 mph and continue to 75 mph, that is as fast as I go.

Today I put the rear on jack stands and saw a wobble in the drive shaft. I then took the rear shaft out and I heard what sounded like marbles in my transfer case from rear of it. It also clicks a little.

What is this and could this be causing my vibrations? Any help would be great. Drive shaft is one I just got from iron rock off road, re manufactured front shaft. I tried putting front shaft in it but it was even worse.

Thanks, Phil

Ya I checked that and no play it is a rebuilt shaft all spicer joints. Could this be from a drive shaft not balanced?

Drained the TC to check fluid? I'd guess the shafts are good to go.

Drained the fluid and nothing. I am going to get the drive shaft balanced soon, so we will see.

i had the same thing and my problem was i apparently pulled the shaft to hard at one piont and it "unfased" the d/s . is wear the spline comes apart and gos back together into a different groove . wich then the d/s is totally unbalanced . spend the $$ getter checked out . goood luck !!
