I have a 2000 Cherokee w/ transfer case problems. Im not if you can adjust these things ut it engages in 4wd great but as soon as you give it gas or put it in a bind it seems to come out of 4wd and pops real loud and grinds like its not in gear any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, you can adjust the linkage on the transfer case.
(7) Lower vehicle.
ADJUSTMENTS
SHIFT LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT
(1) Shift transfer case into 4L position.
(2) Raise vehicle.
(3) Loosen lock bolt on adjusting trunnion (Fig.
87).
(4) Be sure linkage rod slides freely in trunnion.
Clean rod and apply spray lube if necessary.
(5) Verify that transfer case range lever is fully
engaged in 4L position.
(6) Tighten adjusting trunnion lock bolt.

Ok it sounds like one of 3 things...
1st - Disconnect the linkage and see if it still does it
2nd - You should check to see if you have a broken snap ring that holds the output shaft were it belongs.
Pull the rear driveshaft and remove the 3 bolts that hold part #39 and check to see if the snap ring is missing.
I have fixed several T-cases this way.
3rd - it could be an internal case problem.
