Make sure you get the fill plug out before pulling the drain plug.........

You'll need 3 pints of ATF fluid.

Recommend replacing the internal hex plugs with the external wrench plugs (19 MM wrench) as shown in the pic below. You can get these plugs from a NAPA store. Torque is 15-25 Ft/Lbs.

Haha well apparently my factory service manual was made overseas cause that's what it says.

But yeah, 1 liter = 1.0566 quarts. So pretty much the same thing. Get 2 bottles and you'll be good.

Haha, awesome sauce.

I am getting my rebuilt trans back today, and I wanted to change the tcase fluid while the tcase is apart from the trans.

Glad I found this thread!!

just did mine a week or two ago also.
but i buy mine in a bulk 10 gallon pail and use a mechanics syringe to suck it out of the pail and squirt it in the case, so couldn't tell you exactly how much to use, but i'd go with the consensus and say buy yourself 2 liters.
just fill it up till it comes out of the fill hole, put in plug and wipe the case clean.

What fluid does everyone use?

Synthetic? Non synthetic?

Brand suggestion?

A syringe is a good idea.... bet it works better then jacking up the back end then dumping it in....
