Alright here's the dumbest question of the day lol. I was dropping the tank to put in a new fuel pump and noticed the sensor that's in the transfer case isn't plugged into whatever it connects too.







Where is it supposed to be connected at and what too?

 

The sensor you are pointing to is the output speed sensor..if it wasn't working you would have no speedo. the open connector on the other side of the pic looks like it should be for a downstream o2 sensor, assuming you have a 96+ cherokee. do you have a cel on?
