Trans wont shift into gear
I just finished swapping an auto trans back into my 00 XJ. Previous owner put an stick trans in it but didnt complete the job. As part of the purchase I got the auto trans and all parts to go along with it. Swapped the trans back into the jeep and started it up for the first time today. I get nothing through the whole shift range. Doesnt even attempt to go into gear. Double checked everything all is good. Trans harness and NSS are both pluged in, all plugs on the trans itself are pluged in. The cable physically shifts the trans through all gears but it wont actually engauge the gear. Obviously the trans controller need to be plugged in, where is that located? Thought it was under the console. Its full of fluide and the torque convertor was prertty full when I bolted it up. Any pointers?
Pull a line off the cooler while it's running. Got pressure there? If the trans won't engage manually, I'm wondering if the pump has failed. Why was the trans removed in the first place?
Did you put the flexplate for the auto back on too?

Yea flex plate is on and bolted up. It was swapped to stick cause the PO said hes always wanted a stick one. I saw it running woth the auto a short time before I bought it so I assume it still must me good
