trans wont pull off unless manually shifted to low

trans wont pull off unless manually shifted to low
stock 99 AW4. No slippage etc but when comes to a stop it will not pull off unless manually shifted into low. You can feel it try to pull but it wont until dropped down to low. Run it thru the gears manually and you can drive it anywhere. Any ideas?

Free and easy:
If those two don't fix it, it's time to start testing some solenoids.
- Adjust your kickdown cable.
- Check for a blown fuse in the TCM.
