Default trans swap

What do I have to do if I have a 97 Xj and a 95 trans and tcase. I know the connectora are a little different. So how would I go about wiring them up?

you should be able to cut and splice the wiring harness for the neutral saftey switch..other then that its just a little plug on the driver side of the trans and then the 2 more plugs near transfer case i believe...i did my trans in my garage in 2 hours with 2 floor jacks...just take your time and have a buddy help ya its not hard at all...oh and make sure you replace your front seal on the trans the seal is only 4 dollars and takes about 20 minutes to replace!!!

Now when you say splice the wirea what conectors am I cutting anew why can't I use my Nssoff my 97 and put it on the 95 they are the same Nss just different connector.

the 94-98 trans are all the same so u will be fine

yes allmost positive...there are 2 grey connectors up in engine bay next to valve cover on the passanger side..

Yeah the tcu connector is differnt on my trans and the new trans. So does anyone know how to wire up a 95 trans into a 97?
