Alright going to buy new 1&2 solenoids. I found them on ebay for cheap, but I have learned from past expriences to beware. So I'm leaning toward these

You guys have any recommendations Before I go beg the wife for the plastic?

Boy, that's tough! I'm not much of a source if info. I didn't like the JY idea until I saw those prices. (It's more on Rockauto). Guess if it solves the issue it'll be wort it...good luck!
Before you buy the solenoid- are you sure the harness isn't at fault? A very high resistance reading like you are seeing could be a broken wire, bad connector....
Might try manufacturer direct for the solenoids (US made, not Chinese):

Pretty sure it's not the harness, I've checked it and the connectors for any signs of damage or corrison and all looks well. After several test I've found that when it's cold the solenoid in question reads about 30 ohms, while the other two are around 16 ohms. After a couple laps around the block the suspect reads in Meg ohms, and the other two check out at 14 ish. That would explain why I usually get one good shift in the morning before it starts skipping 2nd. I think that it's shorted or the internal insulation is breaking down.

Thanks for the link. I have never bought internal transmission parts before so I don't what to look for.

Got my solenoids on the way. $115 to the door.
Yeah I must agree the beer selection around here sucks! To get anythig good you have to go to a taproom, luckily you can fill up a growler for the house
I'll let yall know how the solenoids work out.
Oh yeah, on a side note my wipers started locking up this morning

They were stopping at random places. Pulled it apart and the three bolts that hold the motor to the bracket were loose causing the mechanism to bind. Couple drops of thread locker, a few dirty words, and 45min. later all is good.
