Default trans leak

I have a 2000 jeep Cherokee classic 4.0 automatic. And recently have noticed a transmission leak coming out of the little peep hole thing on the front of the trans. I have been noticing a humming noise briefly after I let off the gas. I've read it can be a front seal in the trans or cracked torque converter. Any ideas?

Yes on both. Hopefully it's the converter. Because tranny seals usually only go bad if there is wear somewhere else.

You can overheat your transmission and get it to leak like that.
