i got a lower end knock. thought it was the flex plate and it wasnt. but while i have the trans out i want to start the engine to rule out rod knock, but i put the bell housing on and the starter back but it wont crank. what do i have to do to start the engine with the trans out? just so i can rule out the trans making the noise.

the pic you provided was the old style but i founf the new style plug jumped it and it worked great, jumped it with a paper clip and it started right up thanks a ton! and no engine knock! new torque converter it is.
