Default Trans Drop Needed???

Have a 3" lift not sure if i need to drop the trans and if i do how much does it need to be lowered? is a kit the best way to go?

Do you have vibes in the drivetrain? If not then you dont need one .If you do then get a 1in tc drop.You have high pinion diffs so you should'nt need one with 3in of lift.

Ya thanks guys its weird I have some vibration its not all the time Though. it seems like its right under my feet I can't tell if that's the vibration ur talking about. Ill look up a 1" kits thanks guys

Is the vibe mainly when accelerating? Don't buy a kit. Go to Lowes and buy a piece of 1" square tubing, cut it to length and drill holes in it to match the cross member. you will also need some bolt 1" longer then the ones currently mounting the cross member, Lowes has those also. Total cost less than $15. A kit will cost $30 or more for the same thing. I used 3/16" strip stock and stacked five on each side, for 15/16", and adjustability.

1in square tubing is hollow and might not hold up very well.Mine is a Rustys and solid stock.

i used 1 inch squarre tube on my tc drop and its holding up great

put 3 inches on mine last week and had to cut 1 inch sections of heavy wall pipe to drop mine. still have a little vibration under very heavy accel but livable until sye finished.

Ok so I'm going to try the 1" tubing first and see how it holds up. Thanks!!
