trans cooler
hey guys, so i got my 89 up and running good, but the trans fluid is leaking somewhere, and i know its not at the trans, so i wanna put in a different trans cooler with new lines, any advice and loction of cooler, type of cooler, line running and so forth? thx guys
I would think that as long as the Id is close to half inch that it should have the correct flow I would not go much smaller on the id or it could restrict flow to much.

There are a number of coolers you can use. I got one from Summit Racing that I used for a couple of years that is a long skinny one that is about twice as big as the stock one and that I put in place of one. I ran my own hard lines. They e=were 3/8" brake lines. I put barbed fittings on the end and then used 3/8 braided steel lines to go to the cooler.
