I pulled this code. I have no O/D on my 2001 XJ (stock). I have done a search on this code and found that it states the overdrive over-ride has been on 5 minutes. Mine states otherwise. Mine reads "P0751 shift solenoid A (1-2)(3-4) funtion failure."

I have been able to further look into this, but has anyone else had this code read the same?

There is another post of a 1998 with the code but the codes are different in description.

I think that is your lockup solenoid, you will have to test it (hopefully someone can post the procedure) and if it is bad, replace it.

 

Solenoid C is lockup. Yes my issue was Solenoid A. I tested and it requires a basic ohm test (11-15 ohms). It passed that test. But when I applied a 9V battery to the solenoid it failed to fuction. It has been replaced and all is well.
