Tranny or torque converter?
My 95 cherokee sport's auto tranny slips like crazy when you put it in drive. It won't even move for the most part. I'm guessing the tranny is the problem but how do you tell if your torque converter is bad? I was thinking of installing a novak stage II 700r4 with the engine and transfer case adapters if it's my tranny. anyone got any info or advice? thanks alot.

im no tranny expert
so i search
on a google search
when you are in gear, and you accelerate, the car starts to move, but as you get higher in the rpm's, the engine will just rev like it's in neutral. Higher loads will also make it worse

What was happening was if I put it in drive from a dead stop, like starting it and attempting to pull outta the driveway, it slips from the get go and wont even move, you gotta rev it up pretty high, 3000ish to even get the tires rolling. It didn't just happen one day, it was just slightly slipping at first and got worse and worse until that was the finally result. The fluid was fine and not low and there doesn't appear to be any shudder. I towed another vehicle a few miles and after that is when it really started slipping. thanks for your help.
