tranny swap hlp needed
I got a 96 auto that doesnt engage in reverse right away when its cold. Once warmed up thought its kinda ok. Most likely its going out and will need to be replaced. So I have 2 donor vehicles a 95 and a 97. The 95 is 2wd and the 97 is 4wd. Are they both the same? Ill be reusing my tcase since its already been modified for my rear shaft. TIA.

Low/reverse band is adjustable. I would drop the pan and adjust the low/reverse band before I would consider swapping the trans. Might even be some writeups on here for you to follow on that adjustment.

Oh yeah thats a lot for that info ill look into. The rest of the shifting seems fine. Its only reverse that doesnt go into gear right away. But when it does it solid with no slipping.
