Default Tranny Swap/Axle Ratios Questions

Hey guys my friend who got me into bush rotting jeeps has finnally got another free jeep..so the old one we tore down...Spent 5hours yesterday pulling the motor transmission and transfercase. and about 2 hours today removing the front and rear suspension. It was a 91 4.0HO 5sp 2dr. The new jeep is a 96 4.0HO Laradeo Auto 4dr. Since its a 96 it has a D30 without the c-clips right? Also it has a chance of having the 8.25 since thats the tricky year, i know mine came with it. So since the 96 came with a Auto the axles are geared lower then the ones in the 91 with the 5sp if I remember correctly. So what we want to do is pull the auto tranny out of the 96 and put in the 5sp. How hard is this swap? we have every part we need for it they are just sitting in the 91 xj. Any tips ideas?

I think all the Dana 30s were C-clip, but I could be wrong.

It's 50/50 on the 8.25 rear axle, either way it's most likey the less desirable 27-spline since I don't think they went to 29-spline until '97. So it's either going to be a 27-spline Dana 35 or a 27-spline 8.25.

Not sure about the auto to 5-speed swap. I would expect it should just bolt up, but there may be more to it than that.

i do assume that the tranny would bolt up. But does it need anything for the computer since its no longer using the computer to shift thru the gears? Also what are all the parts we need from the donor jeep. Other then .. Tranny,Driveshaft?,clutch linkage and resivour..this is only my 2nd tranny swap and the first one was just replacing one with a cracked housing with one of the same..never did a auto to manual swap before.
