Tranny question
Is there is a way I can mate a 2 wheel drive 5 speed manual transmission to the back end of a automatic 4x4 transmission?
I ask because I wanna keep my 5 speed but I am not sure if I can make it fit to my transfer case. Any incite on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm...so the only way is to find a manual transmission tranny and put that in.
Am I correct in thinking that there is a difference in a 2wd tranny manual and 4wd manual? As in the lengths are different to accomodate the transfer case in the 4wd model.

You would need the 4x4 versions tailhousing and output shaft, might as well do a rebuild while you are swapping those parts. I've seen people selling what you need on eBay, but it may get kinda pricey.
