Hello all im new member and owner of a 96 xj w/4.0 4x with auto tran4 got my baby for 800 already put about 400 in and ive been having some problems with the trannyshe doesnt like to go into reverse in the mornings takes a 15 minute warm up n then i can back out of the driveway and if i dont let it warm up i cant get out of first gear sometimes its a lil worse ill let it warm up and still wont leave first gear unless u give her alot of gas and accelerate fast also when im at work which is 5 days a week at 9 hour days 11 if u count the drive to and from work and i drive 150-200 miles a day all day long since i deliver auto parts in florida heat with my xj she will be slugish or shift hard if i drive nice n easy but again if i accelerate fast and keep it at 2000 rpm it will shift nice and smooth i was told it is the torque converter going bad and ive been looking around but havent found any discussions relating to the problems ive been having
