OK guys i needs some help here. A 96 grand cherokee larado. 310,000 miles. 4x4 auto. Bought this a year ago and the trans shifted funny. Did a fluid and filter change and it seemed to act fine after that. In the last couple days its acting as if the TV cable is to tight. Have to let foot off the gas in order for it to shift from 2nd to 3rd. Then seems like i barely touch the gas it shifts right back to 2nd. I have adjusted the cable to the loosest possible setting and it still does it. When it does finally shift they are firm shifts. Not like its slipping or anything. I have checked the cable and return spring and it all looks good. If i just unhook the cable it seems to shift through the gears fine but i know not to run it like that cuz it also controls the pressure. I'm hoping its a solenoid issue or other related electrical problem and not internal. Can't really afford a new tranny right now. And i have to much money and it looks and runs to good to just scrap it. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance guys.

OK so after countless hours searching forums i found alot of issues with the TPS. That affect the trans shifting. Mine reads .83v at idle and 4.00v at WOT. Is that normal? I read one post that said it should be .36 and 4.49 at WOT. Is that just a guideline or is mine way outta whack?
