Getting ready to put a new filter and changing fluid in my 93 AW4. How many quarts do I need to put in when doing this? One source says 4 quarts, but I've also heard it takes 5 or 6 quarts. Which one is true?
Thanks
Thanks
It depends on how long you let it drain and how tight your pump is.
I've put as little as 3.5 and as much as 5 quarts.
Do your filter, seal it back up, and dump 3 quarts in it. Start the engine and cycle the shifter through all ranges. Check the fluid running (just like any other time).
