Rusty's ??????
So I have to ask. Why do so many people on here bash on rusty's off road?
I had a rusty's 4.5" lift and it worked great. No issues at all. Very strong. Not to bad a deal for the price I though. ??? Input please. Why does nobody like them or so it seems?

i buy all there stuff... nice ride and good pricing...
they had a thing going where the tie rod ends they were using broke easily, but they have upgraded since then. and had some weak points on there over the knuckle steering but im sure they will fix it just as they did there TRE's.. there website stated there issues at one point and how they are upgrading

Back I'd say 5 plus years ago Rusty's had some quality issues. And those long gone and fixed issues keep getting dug up on the internet. Me I'm a die hard Rusty's supporter and parts user..

I hear the same think that Rusty's is like **** poor stuff. I took there word for it but from what you guys are saying Rusty's stuff is not bad at all. I think people look at the price and say well this cannot be good. Then you guys are saying all good about them. People just like to hait i guess.

my buddy is slowly becoming a rusty's dealer for canada.
his rig is full of rusty's. everything on it is beefy as chit. way beefier than my RE stuff.
i've had more problems with my RE extreme duty than he has with his rusty's stuff.
i have since bought rusty's xj steering upgrade. it's not the beefy OTK, but it's done well, and i wheel some tough rock trails with lots of flexing.
plus, rusty and austin are great people.
so to all you haters......

i do not understand how people say his stuff is better than brands like RE.
his hard parts, suck. his joints, suck. the TREs he uses are the cheapest known to man. the bushings in his leaf packs suck.
i dont know what else to say. his coils are soft, which may be good for some, but i hate them. i used to like them when i never really wheeled much, but now that im actually working my jeep, they bottom out EVERYWHERE. this weekend i was ready to rip them out and leave them at the bottom of a ravine.
when i bought my 3" kit, it was UNDER 400 shipped, so it was WAY cheaper than RE. now after shipping, its like 80-100 bucks more for the RE kit. no reason not to wait and get better parts. every piece of rusty's under my jeep is going to be gone soon. i really wish i waited the first time and bought RE, this way i wouldnt have had to buy a pair of LCAs (which come with the RE kit), bumpstops (which come with the RE kit), and wouldnt have to be buying new coils and leafs.

My 4.5" lift from them was just a hassle. The springs were flexed well, but were too soft and thats about it. I have replaced everything so far that I got from them, except the leafs, but all of the bushings are/have been going out.
For customer service they were mainly bad. One of the people tried to argue with me about the parts that I got (which were wrong). Another time they would not send me a new tre after the first one broke (took less than 5months). The one time they good service was when the Tre broke on the trac bar again, while I was on the freeway, and nearly caused an accident. The phone call was probably the angriest I have ever been.

i have there upper and lower adjustable control arms and they are awesome and the price was good. shipping was a little high. so i called them and they said the shipping calculator was a little high on the site. they lowered the shipping 20 bucks and some change over what the site was figuring. and they have excellent customer service.

Ive got the 4.5" lift and when I went up I kept the 3.5" leaf pack from the 3" lift and I have had no problems. People are going to have problems with any make of lift. We do wheel these things hard sometimes and things are gonna break. If there is a perfect lift out there I want to know where it is and find out who is rich enough to have it.
