tranny drain plug leak

tranny drain plug leak
tried to drain my tranny oil pan and i guess the guy who owned my jeep before me stripped out the plug. So it just spins. now it leaks. any ideas on how to get it out? or just stop the leak?

ViceGrips/ChanneLocks maybe? Pull out while unscrewing....if it works, drop the pan, re-thread the hole to the next larger size plug.

Id drop it anyways so you can put a new filter in since who knows when that was last changed. Youre just gonna get fluid all over the place if the pan tips
