i have a 96 cherokee and i cant get the dipstick tube out of the gromet in the tranny pan what should i do

 

Cuss, scream, kick stuff, throw a fit...the fact is, they can be hard as heck to get out! Try soaking it in PB Blaster for as long as you can. Try to twist it a little back and forth, and apply preasure, with a little luck, you should be able to get it. Best of luck!! HTH!!

 

k thanks i had it out before it came easy now i cant get it i had a three foot pry bar on it and it was trying to smash the tube

 

Yeah, try getting PB blaster or WD-40 on it and then try twisting with plyers or something. If thats a no go, drive it around to heat up tranny fluid wich would increase air preasure behind dip stick. Spray it again and procede to twist, GL!
