Did it come with those plastic zip strips? People usually use those to mount it infront to the radiator. I'm going to install a tranny cooler on my XJ this weekend.

x2, they should look like this.
I think autozone or any good parts store should sell them. Just make sure to trim the excess or you get to hear it hit your fan

There is actually a gap between the AC condenser and radiator so you need to pull your top support off to use those or else you'll never get them tight and they will end up bending and breaking fins. Mine is mounted behind the grill to the condenser and works great. I got the largest one the parts store had, it was for RVs. Mine is a crawler and I wanted the extra security.

It came with the zip tie looking things like in the picture but I could only find one spot to run them all the way through and it would only secure one side of the cooler. I just got fed up and wasn't wanting to take a bunch of stuff off to secure it.. It looks like I may have to spend more time to locate it when I want and securely as I want..
Thanks for the input

Used those zip tie thingys years ago on a cooler install....the cooler rubbed a hole in one of the a/c condenser tubes....I'll never use those again to mount a cooler.

I love this setup. Did that cooler come with the cross supports or did you fab them? Also, where did you get the cooler? I've heard they are WAY more efficient than the tube ones.

It's a B&M #70264 and yes the supports and hose come with it.......got it at either Jeg's or Summit (about $65).....bought so much stuff from both over the years, can't remember what from where.....both places have it. Used 4 pieces of scrap PVC tube to space it back from the grill. U can see one of them, bottom right, gray PVC.

I like that style never saw it when I bought mine... I ended up going with a cheap "universal" one and tapped it inline with the factory cooler. it was 23$. this is the best pic i have of it. the hoses go around the radiator on the drivers side. tucked in there pretty nicely. i placed it in front of the electric fan seeing how it turns on with AC(so its hot outside) and when the vehicle hits 210* (so its hot) that way it almost has a fan that it timed to kick on when it would need to be cooled even more.

Maybe u can give a conformation on '00/'01 XJ efans. Some have posted that the '00/'01 XJ efans do not turn on when the a/c is used (like '99 down)....they only turn on when coolant temp reaches 218F. It's also been posted that the dealer can re-program the ECU on '00/'01 XJs so that the efan WILL turn on with the a/c.
