Default AW4 Help-no neutral or reverse

I have just finished putting on a new valve body gasket and reinstalling everything correctly (i hope). However, my cherokee no longer goes into neutral or park. It acts like it's in drive in both neutral and reverse and drives forward. Like I said I hope I put everything back correctly, I used diagrams whenever I needed them. If anyone knows what could be causing this please let me know. This is very frustrating.

Sounds like the linkage missed the spool valve (internal) @the valve body. (if you had the valvebody down)
Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I'm quite new to transmission work and I can't seem to find this spool valve in the aw4 manual. Where exactly is it located?

Why did you take the valve body down in the first place ?

spool/manual valve.....
  1. Align valve body manual valve with shift sector and carefully position valve body on case.

Thanks so much for the help. That was definitely my problem. I lowered the valve body and corrected this however, my jeep still will not reverse. It no longer drives forward though. It feels like its a little sluggish to take off as well and at least once it slipped on my 30 minute drive home today. Any ideas?
