Default Tranmission Fluid Change refill?

I searched before I made this and i didn't find my answer.

I know that to change the fluid I need to drain all of it out through the plug and then im planning on dropping the pan and replacing the filter and gasket. What I don't know is when I put everything back together. Where do I pour the new transmission fluid in?

I have a 2001 XJ Auto 4.0

Don't do it if you're not sure of how to do it, transmissions don't come cheap if you screw something up.

If you're new to this type of work I'd suggest you get a buddy to help you out. Dropping that pan can be a real PITA and installing it so it doesn't leak can be just as hard. Get someone that's done it before to help it go much smoother. Good luck!

Oh don't get me wrong, I've done it twice before times before this but they were on those damn GM trannys that don't have dip sticks. I've only owned this jeep for 6 months and I am unsure of when the last time it was changed and it does look pretty brown. Yeah the dipstick does look like the best place I was just checking if there was another place to refill. Thanks for the answers!
