Default Track bar questions

I have a rough country 3in lift and I've heard about the factory track bar pulling the axle towards the driver-side. I'd like to know if I should re-drill or buy an adjustable track bar.

One thing that would be very helpful would be to know the factory height that the trackbar traverses. This would let me determine how far the axle has shifted, give or take a quarter inch.

Just measure it so you could adjust or if you have the cash just get an rc adjustable track bar as the post above suggested...

Adjustable track bar, got it. What do I adjust it to?

Drill another hole about 3/4" toward the drivers side and about 1/8" up, will balance out with your 3" lift. You can install the track bar end to guide you thru the 1st hole to the back plate and end up with good alignment through, reinstall the original bolt.
Now you still have the original hole position to go back too if needed in the future.
Next get a front end alignment and especially some additional shims for caster, usually lost with a lift.

center the front end under the truck by turning the steering wheel with the bar unconnected measure from inside of tires to frame on both side until you get it even then lock the steering by turning the key off adjust the track bar to fit and installdo this with truck on ground

How'd you come up with 3/4 and 1/8?
Just curious.

That's where I redrilled, when I swung the bar back up that was where it seemed to line up relative to the original holes, also was about the limit I was comfortable with to put a second set of holes in the stock bracket and still have some strenght surrounding, as the front plate had a rising lower edge, I shifted the hole upward. I have a 3.5" front lift and stock lower control arms, fully shimmed out to get my caster back. A little harsh on some bumps at speed but acceptable ride overall. Definately need some additional control arm lenght and a longer track bar to proceed with the next set of front coils (plus 2"). Anyways for my 3.5" I just went with the redrilled mount position.

Do they make new brackets for the axle side mount? I know they do for the Frame Mount?

Not sure if axle side brackets are bolt on, I know they make them of the welded type. But an adjustable is the way to go.

I remounted the factory track bar in new holes when i lifted my truck and had nothing but trouble. I have since put in an adjustable track bar and the death wobble is gone and the stiffer track bar has worked wonders.
