Default track bar question

Me and a buddy are having a debate ...

Will a STOCK TRACK BAR fit/work with a XJ that's been lifted 3.5in-4.5in?

If you redrill the hole it should be close at least.

Absolutely, 3 is fine, 4.5 is pushing the upper limit, but it has been done.

It would be better to buy an adjustable double shear one so you don't have to redrill a hole and risk waddling it out.

I have the stock one on at 4". But it just recently went bad and started popping. Lift was put on roughly 20k miles ago and it worked fine for about 19k of them.

I'd say do it right from the beginning and put on an adjustable double sheer when doing a lift higher than 3"
