Default Track Bar Fix?

Ok I made a track bar bracket to relocate its mounting to line it back center. I shook the Jeep side to side and pushed up and down on the bumper and let it settle. Then I made my hole where the bar said it needed to go LOL. So is this a good idea and think it will work? Still wasnt right on the road and just getting up to speed made it DW. For one the front tires are getting bald and out of balance etc. Anyhow let me know what yall think. Also some pics of my Swar Bar QD's, I made them from a Hood Pin kit I had laying around

Were you trying make it parallel with the steering?
If you have DW it probably doesn't work well

I am trying to make sure the front axle is center. Its not the track bar alone that can cause the DW from what I have read,. Its a combo of shocks, trac bar, alignment and tires. Just trying to find out if this is a good method of lining the axle back up. No different than an adj track bar really. How do you know where center is?

it looks a little hokey to me not sayin it cant work but my personal solition to it was to redrill the existing bracket like this https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/how-relocate-your-track-bar-4919/

So 3 inch lift would be that far off? Mine seemed to be 3/8" off or so. How is the best way to measure or determine that it is center? The brackets are made of 1/4" thick steel so its prolly stronger than the thin stock bracket. I already have that hole drilled 3/4" over like in that thread but it seemed way to far over. Hell IDK stupid setup huh LOL

Post a pic of the whole front end. From the pics shown it looks like your axle is too far to the passenger side(the coil looks shifted in pic4)

it looks ok did you use a sleeve in the original bracket so you don't get any movement from this one. and you can use a plum from both fenders or unibody to give you an idea if it is close to center

Looks like a homebrewed braket to me. Seems pretty sturdy, I'm guessing it scrap steel since it's got a few extra holes. Main problem I see is a lose in articulation since it's angled down instead of straight. Not much diffrent than my skyjacker bracket though.

I will get some pics of the whole front end in a bit. The bracket is for sure home brewed but seems really sturdy. LIke I said it is 1/4" thick steel from a bumper. I didnt know about being able to take measurements since this jeep was wrecked in the front and I replaced a bunch up front like Fenders,Hood,Radi,Power Steering Pump,Main front Frame Brace that radiator sits in,etc. Seems like a drop would help the angle back to where it was since a 3" lift has the bar raised a drop bracket like this seemed ok to me. I need to get some measurements to make sure where the bar needs to go. What is the best way to determine center?

when i did my 3" lift i had to redrill the hole 1/2 inch over it all depends on how your jeep sits when measuring find something that will be the same on both sides i used the frame rails because they will be centered and measure both sides and make them the same in my case i was a half inch off but if your frame is twisted or some crazy thing like that you might have trouble with this

Screw it tired of messing with it. Goin back stock so no problems that way. Hard to make an XJ road and trail friendly with no funds. I will do again later when I got the money and do it right. Gotta get it right to pull the atv's this year, its time to ride.
