Track Bar Bolts
I started the installation of my lift kit this afternoon.
Step 1 : Remove Track Bar
Ok, that doesn't seem too bad. I get the impact out, put the socket on the bolt on the passenger side portion of the track bar. And it just spins.
How in the heck do you get a wrench on the back of that bolt? Its all enclosed except for a tiny little window. I couldnt seem to get a wrench on it to keep it from turning.
Let me know if there are any tricks of the trade. Thanks

Yeah. I don't think that's on there anymore. Mine is just a regular nut and bolt. Might have been replaced. I considered just cutting it off but I'm not sure that would help unless I could cut it on the inside of the track bar.

you could cut it on the inside of the bracket on the axle side and just put a new bushing in there if you're using the stock track bar. that bushing assembly is like 10 bucks at autozone

Jam a screwdriver in there to hold it.
Or grind down an open end wrench to fit in there.
Get the proper nut with the flag - dealers have them.
Or weld one on yourself - (or JB Weld)- otherwise you'll never get it tight.

Thats probably what I will have to do. Customize a wrench or something to get it in there. I will also just order a new nut and bolt. May as well do it right. Thanks guys.

I am thinking the torch method might be my next course of action. I don't see that the bottom lip of that mounting bracket to be any major structural component. I have moved on to other portions of my demolition, I mean disassembly. Sooner or later I will have to deal with this though. I am thinking that the track bar may have been replaced and they didn't replace the flag bolt. Anyway thanks for the info.
