Default Track bar

2 weeks ago I replaced my track bar, '99 XJ, since it was frozen and was having issues turning to the right. It is much better but I have alot of play with the wheel. I was under the impression that I didn't need to do an alignment after the install. I did an alignment before installing the bar. So what do you think?

The trackbar has nothing to do with the steering other than to to keep the axle centered under the rig.

Play in the steering wheel can be caused by worn out steering components, including the gear box.

Thanks, Can you ballpark the parts and labor for a gearbox replacement?

Under $200 if you do it yourself.
