Track bar ?
yeah that was more play in the bar then there should be it is time to replace it i like the r.e. track bar with the heim joint it allows more articulation and it is pretty beffey compared to stock and adjustable

That trackbar can be rebuilt by changing the tierod end on the drivers side. As for a way to remove it. I would use a small pipe wrench to hold the threaded portion while removing the nut.
well guys i think i am going to say good bye to my track bar and get a lift kit .....but if i get a lift kit wich one should i get can you guys toss a link my way and how would i install it ...thanks guys

I am haveing the same problem on my jeep. Its an 87 with 257,000 miles on it.I just put my lift on,I checked for cracked welds,I replaced everything I could think of that I could do myself.But that noise is still there.The only thing that I didn't check really close was the track bar mount.Could this be the source of the noise?
well i took my car to get a another opion on what it could be and they told me that it was my sway bar links ....so i got both of them ...going to put them in soon and see it that takes it away
the nut holding on the stock trackbar is a pain to remove but just use some penetrating lube on it for a couple of days before hand and it will be a lot easier hope this helps you
