Default Trac lok/ Rear disc conversion

I have a new trac lok but need a rear diff for my Cherokee... my question is if I find a diff with a worn out trac lok can I put mine without any shimming?

2nd question I want to install the grand Cherokee rear disc brakes on my xj but I also have abs what is needed to install everything properly/ parts

I take it you have a D35.

Every time the differential's bearings or gears are replaced you MUST reset it for a proper gear pattern. In the Dana axles, this is done with shims. If you have a limited slip already then servicing it will be much cheaper than swapping the carrier.

As for the ABS disc brake swap you posted in a thread that lists all the parts you need earlier today... https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f67/disc-brake-conversion-abs-121724/

Wasn't sure if I needed to shim but was hoping I didn't have to..... There aren't really to much details on the rear disc brake conversion with the abs want to do everything while the diff is out

Has anybody done a rear disc swap with abs? Does all my abs stuff work with the disc brakes?

Just reach up under the dash to the fuse panel and yank out the abs fuse
