Trailer brakes are a must I've towed my 8 place snow mobile trailer with no problems other than no trailer brakes but It wa relatively short distance about an hour with the trailer fully loaded

Glad it wasnt just my XJ lol. Your set up sound cool if I towed a trailer more often then I currently do Id probably go with that set up but as right now I tow a trailer once in a blue moon.
