Will you be pulling the disabled vehicle from the front or from the rear?

You can always go underneath and connect directly to the axle on either end.

Front preferred. Or rear if needed.

If it's not stuck and just a rolling load I'd just hook to the swaybar for that short a pull.

I'd loop a strap around the front axle personally. You might could hook it in the "frame rail" somewhere, but it might pull the hole a little.

No easy way without kissing the chin spoiler goodbye.
If you had a front receiver or D-rings on a bumper it would be no problem.

Isn't the front axle lower than the trim under the bumper, even on a stock Cherokee?

On second thought, I took a look at mine and the center of the axle is about even with the bottom of the bumper trim. That means pretty much any angle you'd likely pull from is going to cause problems, as you say.

I think you're overthinking this for a short pull. FWIW front reviever hitches mount to the same holes as the stock front sway bar and are rated for a 9000lb pull.

Ive hooked to more than one jeep and pulled from the front swaybar that was actually stuck and had no issues. Not ideal but it gets the job done. And we didnt ruin the airdam either. Its pretty flexible.
