thanks for answer. when you have time, could you measure the box profile dimensions? sure i will use profiles in metric standards but your measurement will give me idea. then i will fabricate mine, dealer asks lots of money for trailer hitch. funny part is that i will be using it rarely to tow a boat for 400 meters. shore to home. twice a year may be.
today i found a single bracket close to gas tank under, car left side. i wonder what it is. there is no holes. may be exhaust side is missing. any ideas?

I used an old hitch and cut it down to fit the front. I used the reinforcement plates on the side of the uni-body and welded the section of hitch rite to it. Cost me like 20 bucks in material
Here is the measurement template to make your own uni-body reinforcement.

i designed simple front tow hooks for ZJ, it will use stock mounting point on chasis. they were cut by using laser cutter. plasma cutter cause distortion on sides it cuts. when i install i will try not to forget taking photographs. what i posted earlier is for rear. to tow a boat. it will require an additional towing point in middle to attach trailer. ball like thing.

Man! I could have used a set of those last year! Had to work notched fender washers and magnetically drop bolts in through the little slit behind the bumper. Talk about a pain! My parts heep has the same get up I did, but the bolts are rusted making it even more of a pain to get off. Perhaps I'll get some before I put a trail bumper on my wheeler and tie in to these as well, as I won't need those holes for a reciever... or maybe just to add some armor to my gas tank.
A tip if you're designing a reciever: don't overthink it! The one on the parts heep had two extra brackets that must have lined up with the bumper mounts on some model, but on the '89, it lined up with the bolts holding the rubber parts to the bumper, and effectively locked the bumper in place, as well as made me have to destroy the upper plastic part just to get the bumper off. It was a nice tight design, but besides looking like being a pain to install it was even worse to get off after a few years of rust, abuse, and grime.
As for towing... there's not really anything there unless you fab something. What we've done in the past to jocky a dead cherokee or grand cherokee around the yard was to wrap a tow strap to the tie rod or front axle. I wouldn't use this for on the road, but it seems to be the strongest point in the front for emergencies. Everywhere else I've tried bent, including the 'skid plate' on the the '94 grand cherokee.
If I were to do it, and I'm going to, I'd use the bumper mount holes (all three on each side) and the skirt fastener holes on the bottom of the 'rail', as it appears the pre-fab ones use, however I'm also planning on building a bumper and skid plate, as well as a reciever to plug a winch into.
A 2" reciever tube is a good friend, as you never have to throw a wrench again to change from a hook, ring, ball, different size ball, or "hitch-haul" (cargo rack), or winch, or whatever else you can imagine. I may end up putting three front and rear in the end.

Here's the link that works:
The only thing that video proves is that there are a lot of really stupid (and lazy) people out there doing wheeling.

Here's a few pics of mine.
