Default Tow hooks

What sockets or tools will I need to take to the salvage yard to pull off tow hooks? Other than my Cherokee do any othe models work, like the grand's tow hooks? Also is there such thing as a rear tow hook from the factory?

Torq heads should be the fittings you need.

grand tow hooks will not work. and you will need torx and metric sockets. i think they did offer a little tow hook option from the factory but it wasnt that good. use a reciever hitch instead.

Not without going home and looking. PM me towards 5 pm if you still haven't come up with the size, I'll try and get it for you when I get home.

Plus shipping, plus you gotta wait for them to arrive via UPS.

Or go spend the $5 and 15 min at the local junk yard and save yourself half a tank of gas, and go wheelin right away.

Besides, you aren't even looking for the right items. The OP is looking for Ow hooks, not Tow hooks.

Are the brackets needed? I don't think I have any on the front end of my truck, but then again I didn't really look that close.

pretty much. they tie back in the frame and otherwise dont mount up unless you make some holes. I have be spun 180* with one bolted only to my bumper but i was spinning tires and was stuck mostly bc i just didnt have traction, i wasn't stuck in a mud hole or really hung up. Anyway i upgraded my mounting for safety and assurance.

Interesting. I'll have to look at mine and make sure they are mounted correctly. It'd be just my luck that they aren't when I need them most.

Kinda sucks that someone changed the thread title. I really wanted to find some Ow hooks.
