Default tow hooks

i was wondering, i cant figure out where to put tow hooks on my XJ, it seems like if i just bolted it on to the frame it would just rip off because the frame looks so thin, any ideas?? thanks everybody

Tow hook brackets. kinda expensive close to 100 bucks new. I got mine at a junk yard for 10 bucks may check there first. Some Cherokees came with them stock.

is there anyway you can do it with out teh brackets????? im not trying to be cheap but i dont have alot of money so i want to try to build this on a budget

No. You must have some sort of frame support if you get stuck. Mounting the hooks directly to the frame will cause them to rip off and become flying projectiles. YOu either have to Make a bracket or buy them.

Like i suggested I found mine pretty easy at a junk yard.

nah you dont haave to make a braket or buy one for that matter, if your running no sway bars up front, the way i did it was use the existing bolt holes from the sway bar and pick up a set of hooks from the scrapper that match the hole spacing. (typically most 2 bolt hooks off trucks use about the same spacing) i live in alberta and have no trouble yanking people out of the snowbanks and mudholes with this setup. save your money.
