Seem to have developed a little clunk under certain conditions. Mainly, when I come to a complete stop, if I stop abruptly it seems like the drive shaft wants to continue to turn for just about a second. Also, when I take my foot off the brake to start up there is a momentary lurch, as well. It seems to not happen if I stop very slowly and deliberately. And it seems to happen less once the engine is warmed up.

I had the same thing with my 99 XJ too. Its the old "Bowling ball in the trunk" feel. You need to grease the slipjoint on the rear driveshaft where it goes into the t-case tail. There is several writeups around on how to do it. I used Permatex Anti-Sieze on mine. No more clunk! Yay! Search for bowling ball in the trunk on here and jeepforum.
