The above pictures are YJ rear flares.

Here's a pic of my rear TJ flares on the front of my XJ. Haven't gotten the rear flares on yet.

How hard was it to mount them? I figure once I get my new front and rear bumpers, new lift and wheels I am going to put some TJ flares on...I can pick some up at the salvage yard pretty cheap..

Getting the front ones on kind of sucked because of the contour of the front fenders. But really, it was easy. I just drilled holes in the flares, drilled matching holes in the body, and used automotive trim push(christmas tree plastic) screws to hold them in an haven't had any problem with them coming off. But I figured if they get in a fight with a tree, the push screws will pull out before it mangles the fender.

Good idea on the push screws..keep spares in the jeep and if ya need em just pop em back on and go...I might get me a set and see what I can do later this year...Once I get the lift, bumpers and such done I am going to tackle painting the thing.. Never painted a car but heck no time like the present to learn..

I used TJ flares and it looked ok, but If I did it again I would use the rears on all four corners.

Anybody have any pictures of the newer style XJs with TJ flares, that kept the plastic side moldings on? or even the bushwhacker flares?

Oh and would YJ flares work just the same? JP mag has an article about it in this months issue but i would like more pics

What is the best source for TJ flares, other than the stealership?? Limited JYs around here, so any available AM, that aren't ridiculously priced??
