Default Tire wear

Hello folks I have a '98 with 33" Big Horns, 4.10s, locked (aussie) 8.25 rear end. My rig is daily driven 25 miles a day. The tires were bought middle of '09 and the first tire rotation was done beginning of last season.

Ok I had the XJ up in the air the other day and noticed my right rear tire has considerable amount of wear in the center compared to the others. The sipping lines are completely gone from the center lugs where the other tires look new. Tire pressures are set the same all around so I'm going to count out over inflation. Need some ideas on why one tire is wearing faster than the others. THanks

I would normally say the right rear is the drive tire, but since u are locked it shouldnt matter... just rotate them more often, and (stupid question) are u sure u have a locker?

lol yeah I have a locker. Not a stupid question at all. I'm going to rotate them more often. See what happens.

I'd think the same thing but they are all set at 30. I check pressures on a regular basis. Not unless 30 is high for 33s

No. 30 sounds about right. Anymore and they ride like crap IMO. Maybe a defect in that one tire

How often do you rotate? They say with off road tires to rotate every oil change.

Not enough.. Bought it mid summer of '09. Rotated spring of '10.

I may try 28psi.
