Tire rotation question Tire Experts Please
I have 31X10.50R15LT procomp all terrains on my XJ. I always "rotate" front to back. Is this the correct way to do it? I was told years ago that you should not change the direction a radial tire turns. I need to "rotate" the 31X10.50R15LT Procomp all terrain's before this weeks road trip to Titisville to see the Shuttle take off. Please any advise would be helpful.

LOL yeah I got that! It's the "full size" part I referred to. I got a 235r15 inside for a spare tire

Mine go front to back, back to front. We got 66,xxx out of the original Goodyears that came on the '04 WJ before they needed replacing. Watch the air pressure (36 PSI) and the alignment.

Yeah my "spare tire" is just a factory spec tire I have yet to get a tire matching the size on the jeep. Guess I should get around to that before it's too late.

I work at a tire dealer, and we always rotate 4X4's front to back and back to front unless they are wearing funny. In that case you could trya criss-cross. Front wheel drives are front to back, then cross the backs to the front. unless they are directional

Modified X is how I do it (basically what AirCruiser described)
I do the first 2 rotations at 1500 miles each so the belts can shift/settle in both directions. Then I rotate every 3000 because of the solid axle (more prone to cupping & feathering -- compared to IFS).
