Until this site, I had NEVER heard of or paid for tire "installation". Where ever Ive gone, if you buy tires then the mounting, balancing, etc., is included in the price. If you ask for just a price on ONLY the rubber....its the same.

Ive only run Goodyear Wrangler RT/S on mine in the 9 years Ive owned her. When I blast up the "Golden Road" (a logging road in northern Maine) doing 70 every day, they tend to wear out fast because they are soft. However, when I dont do that, they last forever and ride great. At $85 bucks a piece where I get them, thats a pretty good price. And funny thing....when I first replaced them they were $120 each but since then theyve dropped in price every time Ive bought them.

 

Bottom line: When it comes to tires,you get what you pay for. The was a price increase on tires beginning Oct 1. BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A went from $163 to $183 ea. I believe it is a good tire and worth the money. You might want to wait for one of those Buy 3 get the 4th free deals and get a better quality tire.
