car died all of a sudden
I stoped at a light and while i was waiting for it to change green my car died all of a sudden. Tried starting it and felt like it was flodded. Had to wait like 15 seconds before trying againg and it started. 7, 8 miles later it did it again while stoped in traffic. The lights stayed on so its not a bad battery or alternator. Any ideas what might be? i have no codes on the ECU, someone told me it might be an ECU harness issue, other said that it might be a fuel pump. Has anyone had this problem before?? This is the 3rd time it does it in almost 8 months that i have owned the cherokee. It does it like every 2 - 3 months...

Your JEEP probabaly heard you call it a car.
You really need to cover the basics before I can give an acurate opinion on what it could possibly be.
Check the spark and fuel pressure and report back.
It could be anything from weak spark, to a bad fuel filter, to a failing fuel pump, to a sensor.

ALWAYS post year and engine.
There are a number of possibilities, but one of the primary suspects is a failing "crankshaft position sensor". It is the most common sensor failure on the 4.0
When that sensors fails, you will not have spark and you will not have fuel going to the fuel injectors.
Crank sensors often suffer from "thermal failure" meaning it happens when the sensor heats up. And they can be intermittent as they are on the front end of failure.
If you can test for spark when the no-start occurs, that is the best data point you can get.
If you buy one, buy it directly from Jeep for best reliability. Aftermarket crank sensors are hit and miss. With a lot of miss.
