Default time to upgrade u-joints

my good ole jeep has now started to make the most awful popping and grinding noise when i turn right. this leads me to the u-joint, i want to upgrade to a stouter u-joint any suggestions or exprience? which ones better than others and i dont really want to break the bank.

if youre running stock size tires just get the spicer replacement. depends of if you have ABS or not if you have an 88. the 260x size are plenty strong for stock tires, hell I run 260s on 33s.. just have to replace them once a year..

whats the best ones to run if your running 33s? bc im runnin 33s and one of them i def need to be replaced

spicer 297x, you have the larger axle shafts in the 96.

look into the 760x joints, they're stronger.

righto, good catch. pretty sure most aftermarket house brands size the 297s and 760s now anyway.
