Default Tie Rod Replacement

I know this is gonna sound stupid but if I go ahead and have my lifted XJ aligned, then in the next few weeks decide to replace just the right outer tie rod (from the passenger knuckle to the tie rod on the steering box), will the vehicle need to be re-aligned again?

I'll more than likely be just replaceing the right outer by itself not the one on the steering box too, just the right outer.

Why don't you replace it first? you can measure it before you remove it and insure the new one is exactly back to the same spot,it is possible if you have alot of play the shop will not align it until it is replaced.

I was thinking of upgrading down the road to the ZJ V8 unit but I really don't have the funds to do it at the moment. But I really need to have this thing aligned, I've read a few web sites on dirveway alignments to get it to the shop, but I'd rather just have the shop to do it all together.

I just installed a 3" lift, for the last three days it's done fine. Now this evening (only did it once) as I was coming through the mountains around 45-55mph cant remember I came around a curve and as soon as I straightned out I got the death wobble, pulled over checked everything and back on my way I went and it's yet to do it again.

The front axle looks a little off center after I got to looking at it this evening so i went ahead and done the trac bar mod in the Tech Write-Up Section.

Another question, if I adjust the sleeve uptop at the pitman arm (To straighten on steering wheel) will this mess with my alignment?

I just wanna make sure if I do end up replaceing just the right outer I won't have to have it aligned again. Seems like all the alignment is in the tie rod that runs from driver side knuckle to teh drag link/passenger tie rod. I just wanna verify things

Recommend you mark the threads, count the threads before dissasemble. The only change made will be toe. If you do the counting and marking you will be less likely to cause any problem. Also we are talking about a 4X4 I would not worry about it.
