Ticking after engaging 4wd
I used 4wd for the first time tonight to power out of a slide, (i was already in full time 4wd) live outside of Chicago, were getting hit hard with powder. Now i have a ticking sound while idling, in park/neutral, increases with rpm. Oil press is good, no leaks!! trans, transfer, or eng damage??????

Sounds like a lazy lifter. Sometimes a piece of crud will get trapped in-between the top of the lifter and the push rod. Get the motor up to running temp, and then change the oil if you already haven't.
