Default Throttle Lag

I have about a half second throttle lag from the time I push my gas pedal to the time my engine's RPM's go up. Any ideas on what would cause this? I already changed my spark plugs and spark plug wires. Could it be the distributor cap?

try cap and get a new rotor while your at it. Give the coil a check for any small cracks.

changing the air and fuel filter filter might be a good idea.
